Integrated Management System Policy

KBI believes that protecting the environment and providing a safe workplace for our team and visitors is a responsibility shared by management and employees. Management is responsible for ensuring that a continual process is in place for: recognizing, managing, and mitigating environmental impacts, preventing injury and illness at the workplace, developing a safety culture, and achieving and managing sustainable compliance.

We are committed to implementing an Integrated Environmental and Health and Safety Management System to promote compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and to promote continual improvement in EH&S performance.

KBI’s process for planning and implementing our Integrated Management System:

  • Define responsibility and assign accountability;

  • Anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and control workplace hazards and environmental risks;

  • Provide employee safety and environmental compliance training;

  • Routinely check compliance and implement required Corrective Actions;

 

KBI's IMS Policy relies on these essential components to ensure that employees understand their compliance obligations and that appropriate resources are available to implement and sustain compliance. It defines KBI’s continual process for recognizing, managing, and mitigating environmental impacts, preventing injury and illness at the workplace, developing a safety culture, and for achieving and managing sustainable compliance.
