Leaders in battery management and recycling.

About Battery Recycling

Batteries have become an ever-present necessity in today's technology-charged world, powering our cell phones, laptops, power tools, and countless other portable devices used around our home and work-place.

Advances in the energy capacity and expected life of batteries are leading to a transformation of the automotive industry, with hybrid and electric vehicles gaining broad market acceptance worldwide. For that reason, it is paramount to develop solutions to handle these large-format batteries that will soon be reaching their end-of-life.

KBI has the ability to manage all types of batteries, from household batteries small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, to large-format batteries weighing several hundred pounds each.

Recycle your Batteries with KBI

All Consumer Battery Chemistries

KBI can accept and manage all major consumer battery types currently in the stream of commerce, including Alkaline, Nickel Cadmium (NiCd), Nickel-Metal Hydride (NiMH), Lithium Ion (Li-Ion), Lithium Metal, and Lead Acid.

Industrial Motive and Backup Power

Forklifts, cell phone towers and power backup systems use Lead Acid batteries that currently weigh at least 1,000-3,000+ lbs. KBI has the processes and controls necessary to safely and responsibly recycle these large-format batteries, while ensuring our customers get the most value for their end-of-life products.

Electric Drive Vehicle (xEV) Batteries

A revolution in transportation is underway and KBI is as a leader in the field of managing and recycling large-format NiMH and Li-Ion batteries from hybrids and electric vehicles.

Environmental Compliance

KBI has been approved and permitted by the U.S. EPA to store and recycle Hazardous Waste batteries, and has been certified under the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System. KBI provides comprehensive environmental insurance to ensure that we protect our customers from any potential environmental liability.
